As a photographer I became serious about photography shortly after college in the mid 70's. My primary interest was 35mm Black and White and wanted to control the process from snap of the shutter to final print. I had several friends who had similar interest and we shared a common dark room set up. Subjects of interest ranged from macro to landscape with everything in between. My primary subject of interest was enviroment portraits of my friends and life and lifestyle of post college friends.

In 1980 I moved to Los Angeles and lost my connections and resources and as a result became inactive until I purchased my first digital camera in 2003. I joined a local camera club and once again became an active and highly motivated photographer.

I have been a part of two gallery showings and think of myself as a permanent student of the art. While I have a tendency to being a bit of a techno geek I have seriously studied much of the classic work of early photographers and have a deep appreciation of the artistic creative process and vision. Some of my work is emulation as a learning exercise and other creative using the knowledge and techniques learned.
